स्वच्छ भारत अभियान : The campaign launched by Mr Modi on 2nd Oct this year has already made headlines all across the globe. The campaign is to keep roads, streets and complete infrastructure of the country clean. Mr. Modi himself had nominated 9 famous personalities to carry this campaign forward. Yesterday also, he has nominated Kapil Sharma, Kiran Bedi and Saurav Ganguly to drive this mission. The Clean India initiative has already roped in many influential personalities from different sections in India who are contributing their part for this great cause.
Now again, The Clean India Mission is making rounds as our worthy PM has made it mandatory to upload daily updates related to Swachh Bharat Abhiyan online. He is of the view that this will help to grab the interest of NRIs and youth of the nation.
The Swacch Bharat portal will provide all the details regarding different activities happening in any area and this portal will be interactive in nature. As per Economic times, officials related with this mission has confirmed that the online feedback will be dealt in 48 hours.
The portal will also include the details for all the financial transactions and donations made towards this mission. New guidelines have already been set up to implement Rs 67,000 crore in urban areas.
By 2019, 1 crore household toilets and more than 5 lakh public and community toilets has to be constructed under this mission.

ReplyDeleteI feel we required more public toilets than of household ones. Appreciate if we could also come up with some strict laws to punish littering and urination at public places.
